WebQuest Tutorial

8:00 - 11:00 (or 3 hours on your own)

As noted on the calendar (http://www.pampetty.com/420calendarPG2004fall.htm) we do not MEET on ITV until 11:45 on Thursdays (we don't have access to ITV facilities on THurs morns). SOOO, since we can't afford to lose ONE minute this semester, let's plan to do the following in lieu of a Thursday morning class time:

Please go to this website: http://www.teachtheteachers.org/projects/LGurian3/index.htm and follow the directions to work through the WebQuest - my hope is that you can all meet in a computer lab to work through this in groups/teams, selecting only ONE grade level listed in the WebQUest to evaluate per group/team. In other words, the tasks are provided at First Grade, Second Grade, etc., you and your group need only evaluate ONE grade level. Work ALL the way through the WebQuest including the scoring rubric and the feedback form to the author.

If you want to work on this alone, that is fine also, but I am thinking it will be more fun in a group. Be serious in your assessment of the sites listed there - soon this will be YOUR problem up-close and personal.

For extension work, please refer to the following website for some exemplary WebQuests (set your sights HIGH!): http://webquest.org/.

Ok, so are we good for Thurs? Meet in a lab - group/individually - work through the WebQUest linked above ... bring results to my class in the afternoon. At 11:45 (central) be in the ITV classroom ready to rock and roll.
