America Reads Tutor Self-Evaluation Form
At the first meeting of America Reads each fall, students are asked to use the following form as part of their decision-making process in signing up for this program. Each aspect of the evaluation is discussed by the Program Director to help guide students in their own self-assessment of their beliefs, goals, and what they plan to get out of being a part of America Reads. Students must then develop and sign a commitment letter stating their desire to be an America Reads tutor. Students who expressed initial interest but change their minds about being actively involved in America Reads are reassigned to other Work-Study jobs available on campus. This requires a close working relationship between the America Reads Program Director and the representatives from the Financial Aid Department at TTU.
