ELECTRONIC RESOURCES COMPETENCIES:  Programs and Applications

Click REFRESH in your browser window to see the latest version of this page each time you visit (I am adding names to the numbers selected)

The WWW offers so much it is easy to get overwhelmed in just a few searches.  On this page, please select 8 resources - EMAIL ME WITH YOUR CHOICES (example:  1, 9, 36, 52, 58, 63, 69, 71) so I can put your name beside the ones you selected - and provide the following information for each of the 8 you select:

  1. Name of website (title on the webpage)
  2. URL
  3. Description of the website
  4. Strengths of the website
  5. Value of the website to educators (specific to literacy instruction) - provide examples of how the information/website could be used in the classroom
  6. (NOTE:  each annotation should only be a few sentences – this is NOT an 8-page assignment – a couple of sentences each for # 3, 4, and 5 (listed above) will do it.  IF you spend TOO much time on each site you will get bogged down. Bookmark what you LOVE and visit it at a more leisurely pace at another point in time.)

Please upload the WORD document for this assignment to the Assignments section in Blackboard.
