420:  Guided Reading - Please read the following materials prior to class.  You will work within a group to devise and teach a guided reading lesson in class.  You will need "combined" OUTLINE notes from these readings so that you can help guide your group as you devise the lesson.  Your outline will serve as part of the "participation" score for the day and you will turn it in at the end of class.

Talk with teacher about a quality piece of children's literature that would be appropriate for your DRTA (you need one copy per child - does not have to be whole group - can be 3 or more in a small group).  Directed READING Thinking Activity for 1-5th grades; Directed LISTENING Thinking Activity for K (and possibly 1).  For a DLTA students DO NOT have to have individual books.
